As a consultant ophthalmologist, Professor Dogramaci possesses a wealth of experience in managing diverse surgical and medical retina pathologies, including Macular hole surgery, lamellar hole surgery, retinal detachments, post-cataract surgery complications, secondary lens implantations, vitreous haemorrhages, and epiretinal membranes, as well as treatments for diabetic retinopathy, including the provision of intravitreal anti-VEGF therapy.
Professor Dogramaci's commitment to advancing eye care is evident through his remarkable achievements, including over 8000 cataract surgeries and 2500 vitreoretinal procedures, reflecting his substantive consultant-level experience and thriving private practice spanning eight years. With a strong dedication to research, Professor Dogramaci has authored 24 research papers and contributed to 6 books as a co-editor. His pursuit of innovation is underscored by successful patent acquisitions and ongoing applications for personal inventions, highlighting his creative problem-solving abilities. Engaging extensively with the global medical community, Professor Dogramaci has delivered more than 48 talks at national and international conferences, actively contributing to networking, continuous learning, and knowledge dissemination. As a former college tutor and clinical and educational supervisor, he has had the privilege of nurturing future medical professionals and instilling values of excellence and compassion. Currently practicing at Rivers Hospital in Sawbridgeworth, England, Professor Dogramaci holds prestigious positions including a Visiting Professor at Newcastle University UK (starting 1st of October 2024), a Professor in Ophthalmology at New Vision University Georgia, and the recently bestowed title of Associate Professor by the interuniversity council of Turkiye.
