About me

I am a Advanced Clinical Specialist Dietitian specialising in dietary management of gastrointestinal disorders and surgery. I studied Nutrition and Dietetics at Leeds Metropolitan University and graduated with a first class honours degree in Dietetics in 2003.
I have specialised in gastroenterology and surgery since 2006.

I am currently employed at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where I am the dietetic lead for a team of dietitians to provide specialist dietetic advice to a wide range of individuals with gastrointestinal and surgical conditions, and also the dietetic clinical lead for nutrition for the Trust, and member of the Nutrition Steering Group.

In addition to my clinical work I am actively involved in the training of dietetic students and the development of junior dietetic colleagues.

I am also a member of the Health Advisory Committee for Coeliac UK at national level.
