About me
I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), with twenty-three years of experience counselling adults, and young people from a wide range of cultural, religious and professional backgrounds. My counselling method is based on the Person-Centred Therapy principles and a trauma-informed approach.
I provide a non-judgemental space for clients to reflect on past and/or present experiences, their negative thoughts and painful, or out-of-control feelings and explore the impact these might have on their everyday lives. My aim is to enable clients to find their own inner resources for resolving personal problems. I can help individuals to identify underlying causes to mental health concerns, find more effective ways of coping, handle life’s challenges, manage change, build resilience and create a more fulfilling way of life.
