About us
I have worked as a psychologist and cognitive behavioural psychotherapist for over 15 years. Since qualifying in Australia, I have worked for the NHS/ public, private sector, forensic settings and in educational settings in Australia and in the UK.
I first qualified as a psychologist in Australia, initially working in a forensic setting within the private sector, facilitating groups and individual therapy, working with depression and anxiety, offending behaviour and addictions.
I went on to work in addictions in a residential program for adolescents and as a psychologist in the Victoria education system for a group of primary schools, working with challenging behaviours and developmental disorders.
Since coming to the U.K. 12 years ago, I initially worked in the NHS in an adult community psychiatric setting. I have a special interest in exposure work, as well as personality disorder and early intervention with severe and enduring mental illness, trauma and psychosis.
I worked at Nightingale Hospital, in Central London and was the Lead Therapist for the Young Person’s Inpatient Unit and Lead CBT.
Since mid 2018, I have worked in private practice in Hammersmith, London. I see children and adolescents, and adult populations. I provide individual therapy, family intervention and have also run school workshops and MH psycho-education for organisations.
My clinical approach is based on evidence based models and practice. I primarily work from Cognitive Behavioural, Dialectical Behaviour and Schema Therapy frameworks as well incorporating Mindfulness and Acceptance Commitment Therapy into my work, as I recognise that flexibility in therapeutic styles can benefit patients. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement and Desensitisation Reprocessing) approach for trauma and anxiety, and specific cognitive behavioural protocols for eating disorders (CBT-E).
