About me
I qualified as a registered dietitian in 2011 where I worked for the NHS as a community dietitian. I spent time as the lead dietitian on the delivery of a specialist gastroenterology clinic where I provided advice for various conditions i.e. IBS, coeliac disease, gluten sensitivity, wheat allergy/intolerance, lactose intolerance, bile acid malabsorption etc. I have received specialist training at King's College University London, focusing on the use of the low FODMAP diet, which has shown significant improvement in IBS type symptoms.
Nutrition has always been a passion of mine. I was diagnosed with coeliac disease and IBS 15 years ago, after experiencing IBS type symptoms. This heightened my awareness of how diet can improve health and well being. My aim is to share my dietetic knowledge with others, so that they can enjoy health improvement for themselves.
In addition to my work as a dietitian, I have an ongoing interest in research. I completed my MSc research project in 2013 in the area of coeliac disease, the abstract of which was published in a European Journal. I also have a keen interest in the microbiome and also breathwork for the gut and it's benefits to the the gut brain axis.
