About me

Mr Bond-Smith is a Consultant General Surgeon with an interest in liver, pancreatic and biliary (HPB) Surgery at Nuffield Health, The Manor Hospital Oxford and was appointed a Consultant Surgeon at the John Radcliffe - Oxford University Hospital in 2016.

He graduated from University College London and decided on a career in General Surgery with a specialist interest in HPB surgery. His training was carried out in London at University College Hospital, The Royal Free Hospital, St Bartholomew's Hospital and the Royal London Hospital. He also travelled abroad to gain laparoscopic HPB experience at the Mayo Clinic, USA.

Working as a consultant emergency surgeon means that Mr Bond-Smith can assess many acute abdominal problems such as appendicitis, abscesses and hernia problems including abdominal wall reconstruction. With an interest in HPB surgery any gallbladder pathology e.g. gallstones or an inflamed gallbladder or even associated liver and pancreatic problems can also be assessed and management plans organised.
