About me
Ruth has a keen interest in minor surgery on the skin and nails, especially the treatment of ingrowing, involuted and pathological nails than require a permanent resolution.
She has several years of experience in various NHS trusts where she specialised in the field of nail surgery.
Ruth can perform partial and total nail avulsion procedures under local anaesthetic, with or without chemical ablation (phenol or sodium hydroxide). She can perform skin and nail biopsies and had undergone further training in Dermoscopy. She is also qualified and experienced in injection therapy and can administer corticosteroid injections and dermal fillers to the feet.
