About me

Miss Sarangapani is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon and Clinical Head of Department at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital NHS foundation Trust, (a University Teaching Hospital of University College London UCL). As part of her NHS work, she is the Clinical Lead for the Oculoplastics Service and the Acute Eye Clinic Service. She is also a Core member of the Luton and Bedfordshire Skin Cancer Specialist Multidisciplinary Team.

She specialises in Oculoplastics and Lacrimal Surgery, utilising both surgical and non-surgical treatments in order to achieve natural looking results in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and facial rejuvenation. This encompasses a range of conditions, including eyelid problems, eye socket conditions (which require orbital implants) or reconstructive surgery including following cancer removal. Non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatments include botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, treatment of skin hyperpigmentation and medical strength skin peels.

Miss Sarangapani has undergone extensive training in Ophthalmology, Oculoplastics and Lacrimal surgery in London’s most prestigious eye hospitals. She graduated from The Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine (University of London) and completed her Ophthalmology residency at Moorfields Eye Hospital. She has also completed an eighteen month Fellowship at the Craniofacial Unit at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, which involved training with Plastic Surgeons, ENT and Maxillofacial Specialists as well as Oculoplastics Consultants, ensuring extensive training in Facial and Eyelid reconstructive surgery. She gained a further eighteen month Fellowship at Imperial College, London in Lacrimal and Orbital Surgery, focusing on tumour excision with reconstruction and endoscopic lacrimal surgery.

Miss Sarangapani’s practice specialises in natural looking results with particular attention to detail and an empathetic consultative approach to her patients.
