About me
Psychological Therapy
My approach to therapy is warm, empathic, and non-judgemental. I offer a space where you can feel safe to talk openly, at your own pace. Together, we explore what's been getting in the way of the life you want to live whether that's patterns that have developed over time, current challenges, or something harder to name.
Sessions are a collaborative space to reflect, understand, and begin making meaningful changes. Together we can explore what matters most to you and what might support you in moving forward. It may be that you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of what you need. We can take the time to understand your experience and explore what might support you in moving forward at your own pace.
How I can help
I work with adults (18+) who are navigating a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. Some of the issues people may bring to therapy include:
- Anxiety, panic, phobias, or social anxiety
- Stress and feeling overwhelmed
- Low mood or depression
- Anger that feels hard to manage or understand
- Feelings of shame, low confidence, or low self-worth
- Grief
- Feeling stuck, unfulfilled, or unsure of what's next
- Repeating patterns that seem hard to break
- Difficulties in relationships
- Struggles at work or in professional life
This list isn't exhaustive you don't need to have a clear label for what you're experiencing. Sometimes people come to therapy with a general sense that something isn't quite right, or that life feels harder than it needs to. Therapy offers a space to explore it together, at your own pace, with care and curiosity.
Background and Experience
I'm a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and an accredited Cognitive Analytic Therapist, with over 15 years of experience supporting people with a wide range of emotional, mental health, and relational difficulties.
I'm registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and an Associate Fellow and Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). I'm also an accredited member of the Association for Cognitive Analytic Therapy (ACAT).
My core training as a clinical psychologist was at doctoral level, covering a range of psychological approaches. Since qualifying, I've continued to develop my practice through further training in several therapies, including:
- Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT)
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
- Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)
- Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Narrative Therapy
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
I draw on this broad knowledge to offer an evidence-informed approach that's always tailored to the person I'm working with.
My focus is on finding what feels helpful and meaningful for each individual bringing together psychological understanding with care, curiosity, and collaboration.
