About me

I am an experienced qualified Clinical Psychologist and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with over 25 years' NHS experience working in adult psychological therapies, including teaching and supervision. I have held roles as Clinical Lead in Peri-natal mental health and in Psychodynamic Therapies. My practice also includes a post-graduate teaching role at the Tavistock Clinic in central London.

I offer brief and longer term evidenced based psychological therapies including Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, and Dynamic Interpersonal Psychotherapy (DIT). Interventions are tailored to the needs of the individual.

I have expertise in treating a full range of adult psychological issues, including:
depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, pregnancy and post-natal depression, parenting difficulties, managing long-term health conditions, histories of childhood trauma, bereavement and loss. Sometimes the difficulties that prompt people to look for therapy are more focused on feelings within such as feeling lost or empty or feelings of not belonging.

Areas of interest:
Peri-natal mental health/ post-natal depression and parenting; work problems; relationship difficulties; managing long-term health conditions; histories of childhood difficulties or abuse and trauma.

I am also a specialist in psychodynamic approaches which aim to increase self-awareness and understanding of the influence of the past on present behaviours and to enable individuals to examine unresolved conflicts and symptoms that arise from past relationships or situations that are linked to current mood and relationship difficulties.
