About me
I have been supporting people psychologically in public services including the NHS and my private practice since 2004. My experience has been varied but in the last decade I have worked mainly with adults struggling with their emotional well-being. I draw my therapeutic skills from several models of psychological therapy including Schema Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I run my independent practice in South Herefordshire, in a village called Lea, near to Ross-on-Wye and also hold sessions online. I love the breadth of this aspect of my work; each therapeutic journey is so individual and rewarding in different ways.
Psychological therapy can help you: get through a challenging period in your life; learn new ways of relating to yourself; understand why you feel the way you do; heal emotional wounds from childhood; and develop more emotionally connected relationships, among many other things, which is one of the reasons why I feel so privileged to work in this profession.
