About me
Dr Basavaraju has been a Consultant Gastroenterologist in NHS Grampian since completing his specialist training in 2015. He graduated with a PhD from the University of Aberdeen in 2012 with a research focus on inflammation, diet and colorectal cancer.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Inflammatory bowel disease (Ulcerative colitis & Crohn’s disease) , Gastro-oesohageal reflux disease (GORD) and advanced endoscopy (Bowel cancer screening, polypectomy, Endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP) are his areas of specialist interest in Gastroenterology.
Furthermore, he completed a fellowship in advanced endoscopy and has had wide experience in the endoscopic management of colonic polyps, gall stone disease, bile duct and pancreatic conditions.
