About me

I am an accredited BACP counsellor with a Post Graduate Diploma in CBT, as well as being trained in EMDR to work specifically with trauma and a member of BABCP. I have over ten years experience of therapy, within a range of settings including: NHS, Schools, Colleges, Prison Service and my own Private Practice.

I am an integrative therapist which means I use the most appropriate approach (Person-Centred, CBT or Mindfulness) to help my clients with their current problems (i.e. Anxiety - not able to socialise with friends) while working towards their goals collaboratively (i.e. meet a friend for coffee). The relationship with your therapist is also key, to enable, good quality work to be achieved from both parties.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single, step. Your journey out of depression or anxiety also needs to begin with single, small steps. (Old Proverb)
