Mr Khaled Sarraf qualified and completed his basic surgical training at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals. His speciality training in trauma and orthopaedic surgery was undertaken on the prestigious Imperial North West Thames rotation. Following that, he was given the opportunity to complete a fellowship at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. He was awarded the prestigious British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) Zimmer Travel award in adult hip and knee reconstruction which he undertook at St Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Canada. During his time in Canada, he did a fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto (SickKids) focusing on paediatric trauma, as well as lower limb and sports conditions.

Subsequently Khaled was appointed as a consultant in trauma and orthopaedic surgery at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (based at St Mary's and Charing Cross Hospitals) as well as Clinical Lead in paediatric orthopaedics and trauma. His specialist interest lies in all aspects of trauma, hip and knee conditions and sports injuries of all ages. He is able to perform a wide variety of procedures, including trauma surgery, adult hip and knee reconstructive and joint replacement surgery as well as minimally invasive and arthroscopic surgery and joint preservation surgery.

During his career, Khaled has been actively involved in education and was the education lead during his higher surgical training and is currently an honorary senior clinical lecturer at Imperial College London. He is also involved in surgical instrument design/development and has several instruments being sold in the US as well as a patent under his name. He has authored 2 book, multiple book chapters and published over 60 research papers in the field of orthopaedics and presented his research in national and international conferences.
