About me
Welcome, I am Dr Sonia Nagi. I'm a chartered and registered clinical psychologist - I offer psychological assessment and treatment using N.I.C.E informed therapeutic interventions. I hold private sector experience as a clinical psychologist and I have also worked with NHS patients for 18 years in both out-patient, acute in-patient and psychiatric rehab services. In my previous role working with NHS patients in an in-patient setting in a rehab unit I was the Lead Clinical Psychologist there for over 10 years. My work has always been clearly evidence based through clinical audits and the service has routinely been regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and regularly inspected by the local Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs). As an individual I have always been regulated by the HCPC and the BPS. My supervisor who provides me with regular supervision in keeping with good clinical practice is the Trust Advisor for Psychotherapies in South London and Maudsley NHS Trust and Consultant Psychotherapist at the National Self Harm Unit, a tertiary service at the Maudsley hospital, part of South London and Maudsley NHS Trust.
In the last 6 years I have been working increasingly, in the private sector, with children and adolescents with Anxiety Disorders including Social Anxiety and OCD; and Mood Disorders; as well as aspects of Neurodiversity such A.D.D / A.D.H.D and Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
