I offer Bupa customers standard cataract surgery on the Full Pathway package option at Benenden Hospital .
This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

About me
I studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh and subsequently underwent specialised ophthalmology training in the Wales deanery, followed by a prestigious medical retina fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.
Working in various institutions across the country has helped me gather the best practices from these units to offer the best possible care tailored to the individual patient. It has also allowed me to form extensive collaborative networks with colleagues across the country.
In addition to my work at Benenden Hospital, I have been an Ophthalmic Consultant at East Kent Hospital University Foundation Trust since 2016, specialising in medical retina diseases, eye injection and retinal laser treatments, and cataract surgery. I have held the trust role of College Tutor since 2022, overseeing the education and training of all ophthalmic junior doctors. I travel across the country regularly in my role as an experienced and highly regarded examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
I am a highly meticulous, very experienced and dedicated cataract surgeon, always striving to achieve the best outcome for each patient. To date, I have performed over 7000 cataract operations with a very low complication rate.
I live in Canterbury with my wife and two daughters. In my spare time I enjoy playing table tennis with my wife in the local Canterbury league or pampering our toy poodle with the girls. I speak fluent English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
