About me
Hello. My name is Ania Halls and I am a psychotherapist with background in Health Psychology. I offer confidential therapy for individuals experiencing depression, trauma and anxiety disorders, based on the latest research in the field.
I am also a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist registered with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP). I am also a fully accredited EMDR Practitioner, and I am trained in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and Brainspotting.
I have many years of experience of working in the NHS in mental health at various levels including: Senior Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, Service Manager and Clinical Service Lead.
in 2016 I decided to step away from management roles and to concentrate fully on my clinical work through my private practice.
I now run a regular clinic in York. I continue to provide regular supervision to a number of independent therapists in and around York and to NHS psychology departments across the country.
In 2020, as the pandemic hit, I shifted my practice to working online. Like many, at first, I was skeptical about working remotely, however I was pleasantly surprised to find that none of the therapeutic value seemed to be lost, yet much was gained in terms of patient convenience and accessibility to treatment. With many of my clients being spread throughout the UK and Europe, my clinical work is now solely based online.
