About me
Dr Longman is a U.K. trained Cardiologist with training in General Cardiology within the Wessex region. She has performed specialty training in the treatment of coronary artery disease including 2 interventional fellowships in coronary angioplasty and stent implantation at both the University Hospital Southampton Cardiothoracic Centre and the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, one of the highest volume UK interventional centres.
Dr Longman has an additional qualification NHS Leadership Academy in Healthcare Leadership.
Special interests include intracoronary imaging and pressure wire assessment of coronary artery disease. Lipid modification and Lipoprotein a including research to reduce cardiovascular risk.
She has an ongoing role in teaching and training and is an investigator for a number of cardiovascular research studies which includes several landmark trials such as the recent SELECT study with Semaglutide (GLP-1) for weight loss and cardiovascular benefit.
She has additional certification (2025) from Stanford University in Exercise physiology and ageing enabling a holistic approach to improving longevity.
