About me
I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist with over 17 years’ experience specialising in working with children and young people, and their parents/carers and families. My specialism is in helping with anxiety, low mood, low confidence/ lack of self-esteem, difficulties with relationships and friendships, behavioural challenges and parenting support/ consultation and family work.
I am trained in a variety of therapeutic models including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), systemic (family) therapy and Personal Construct Therapy (PCP) and use models these integratively in my work in order to best meet the needs of an individual.
When working therapeutically with individuals or families my approach is always collaborative and non-blaming. I believe that in addition to talking about difficulties it is also important to identify and build on the strengths and resilience of a person.
To ensure my individual clients and families receive a consistently high standard of care that adheres to professional guidelines on best practice, I actively engage with ongoing peer review and supervision with other experienced Clinical Psychologists.
