About me
Dr Jayne Gallagher qualified at Guy's Medical School in 1980 and went on to specialise in Anaesthesia (FRCA 1980 ) with subspecialty training in Pain Medicine (FFPMRCA 2008). She works both in the NHS and in private practice. She has been a Consultant at St Bartholomew's Hospital since 1990 and is Director of the Pain Services. Her special interests within pain medicine are the management of chronic musculoskeletal pain and neuropathic pain syndromes. She takes a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to pain management and as such offers the full range of pain management modalities including medication and interventional procedures. She continues to be involved in research, teaching, and is author of the 'Pain' Chapter in the medical textbook Hutchinson's Clinical Methods.
