He currently works as an NHS Consultant Radiologist with a special interest in musculoskeletal and paediatric radiology at Watford General.
He has published widely in several papers in peer-reviewed journals and also presented at international conferences. He has extensive experience in radiology teaching and has recently co-authored a book on radiology for junior doctors. He is also the lead for paediatric imaging for the East of England Deanery.
Research interests

Before becoming a radiologist Dr Mandalia trained as a paediatrician at the Evelina Children’s and the Royal London Hospitals. He has worked as a registrar in paediatrics and neonatal intensive care and completed his radiology training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital.
Dr Mandalia has worked as an honorary fellow in musculoskeletal radiology at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore and the Central Middlesex hospital. He has completed a fellowship in paediatric radiology at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He has also worked as an honorary consultant in Paediatric Neuroradiology at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
