About me

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with The British Psychological Society and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

I have experience in delivering psychological therapy to individuals and groups in a variety of NHS, third sector, community, and private settings since qualifying at Doctorate level in 2006. I have supported many adults and young people to find a way forward when faced by various life challenges.

I offer a therapeutic space that aims to provide every client with the opportunity to safely voice concerns and share life experiences at a comfortable pace. Drawing on different psychological therapy models including Existential, Humanistic, Compassion-Focused, and Cognitive-Behavioural, I will be led by the client’s priorities for therapy, and work collaboratively to identify and move towards any desired change.

I am also a keen advocator of nature-based therapies. I have delivered a Horticultural Therapy programme for survivors of torture, and I am planning to offer further Ecotherapy opportunities.

I acknowledge the complex interplay of physical and psychological experience and its impact on the individual, their family, social, and care systems. I also believe in the benefits of mind-body work such as relaxation techniques and mindfulness as additional tools for management and healing.

I am currently providing assessment and therapy, for those over 18, in person in West Cornwall, and online.
