About me
I am an ENT Consultant, Head and Neck Surgeon based at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in London. I consult privately at the Cromwell and Wellington hospitals.
I specialise in ear, nose and throat (ENT) conditions. I subspecialise in head and neck, salivary gland, thyroid, oral and laryngeal oncological surgery and benign tumours. I am MDT Lead for head and neck cancers at Imperial.
I am from London originally and qualified at Bristol medical school in 2002. I attended the House Ear Institute in Los Angeles for 2 months while a medical student in 2001. I undertook SHO training in Bristol, Calman registrar training in Manchester, and my research degree (MD) in translational radiobiology at the Christie cancer centre, completing training in 2013.
I was selected for the Toronto advanced fellowship programme in Head and neck surgical oncology, Thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and Reconstructive microsurgery at UHN and Mount Sinai, one of the largest such programmes in North America, which I undertook for 36 months from 2013 to 2016.
I have published and presented internationally on cancer biomarkers, functional MRI, virtual surgical navigation, clinical outcomes, Bell's palsy, and other aspects of ENT including Cochrane and BMJ Clinical Evidence reviews.
I am a consultant at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust - Charing Cross Hospital, H&N MDT Lead, teach medical students and junior doctors, supervise clinical projects, and work on the FRCS JCIE question writing group.
I am dedicated to providing high quality, safe and thorough medical and surgical services. My wife is a consultant interventional radiologist. We have two children and enjoy our holidays together hill walking.
