About me

I have over 15 years experience as a CBT Psychotherapist after undertaking a Post -Graduate Diploma in CBT. This has involved working with a wide range of people and difficulties, including anxiety disorders, depression and stress. For 10 years I worked in the NHS as a CBT Therapist, and more latterly, in my own private practice. I am a BABCP accredited practitioner.

Facing challenges is part of life but sometimes these can feel overwhelming to tackle alone. Asking for help is a brave step, and hopefully having someone alongside to support you can make things seem less overwhelming. Therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to help you find a way through, learning new ways to deal with the difficulties you face.

My background is a Mental Health Nurse, working in various inpatient and outpatient settings in the NHS for over 10 years, prior to becoming a therapist, and I feel this has given me a good understanding of mental health and wellbeing.

Alongside my private practice I work part -time at the University of East Anglia, helping teach and supervise trainee CBT Therapists.

I am also a BABCP accredited supervisor and attend my own regular supervision, to ensure high standards and adherence to NICE guidelines within my practice.
