This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

About me
Mr Pedro Muel-Gonzalez is an NHS Consultant Ophthalmologist with a special interest in cataract and ocular plastic surgery.
Mr Muel-Gonzalez specialised in ophthalmic surgery in Spain before he moved to Dublin, where he completed advanced training in plastic ocular surgery and neurophthalmology.
He holds a substantive NHS Consultant position at Mid Cheshire Hospitals Foundation Trust. Here he is the Lead for the Ophthalmic Emergency Department and for Theatre Efficiency, leading a very busy cataract surgery theatre every week. He performs more than 1000+ lens and cataract surgeries every year.
His areas of interest include cataract surgery under topical anaesthesia, plastic ocular surgery, management of the watery eye and medical and laser treatment of glaucoma. He has extensive experience in general ophthalmology and emergency care.
He also actively collaborates with a charity organisation, regularly travelling to the African Sahara to treat patients from refugee camps by operating on complex cataracts and plastic surgery cases.
