About me
Dr Vivienne Ezzat is a Consultant Electrophysiologist at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, with a special interest in adult congenital heart disease (ACHD). She has been responsible for the hugely successful expansion of the ACHD arrhythmia service, which she leads at the Barts Heart Centre, St Bartholomew’s Hospital.
She has an active interest in outcomes research, as well as research into the mechanisms and outcomes of arrhythmia in patients with congenital heart disease.
Vivienne’s passion is caring for her patients as unique human beings. She addresses all aspects of their heart rhythm care, not only being responsible for the medications or procedure. She provides the crucial medical link to a number of other allied healthcare professionals who can support lifestyle changes, emotional and mental wellbeing and ensure that her patients enjoy their lives to the fullest, regardless of their particular heart rhythm condition.
Areas of interest
Congenital heart disease; bradycardias; SVT; AF; catheter ablation; implantations/extraction of pacemakers and defibrillators (ICDs).
