About me
Mr Vik Veer is one of few Consultant Surgeons in the country who is employed by the NHS to provide surgery for patients with Sleep Disordered Breathing.
He runs a popular YouTube channel that helps patients with ENT conditions and Snoring & Sleep Apnoea.
He works at the Royal National Throat Nose & Ear Hospital in central London and also at Queens Hospital in East London.
Mr Vik Veer is at the forefront of new technologies for snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA), and is working with researchers to be one of the first surgeons in the country to implant a bilateral hypoglossal nerve stimulator for severe OSA. He is also developing new techniques and classifications for sleep related disorders, and regularly speaks at international conferences.
Having won the prestigious National Ear Surgery Prize in 2014 (Royal Society of Medicine Temporal Bone Competition), Mr Vik Veer also has a specialist interest in Otology. In this area he specifically focuses on treating tinnitus, vertigo and cholesteatoma.
Mr Vik Veer is a dedicated trainer of junior doctors. He is the founder and director of a charity which provides educational ENT courses to doctors and nurses nationwide.
Mr Vik Veer is well-recognised for his clinical style. He believes that by thoroughly explaining symptoms and diseases to his patients, it allows them to truly understand their condition. This knowledge empowers patients to take control of their health problem and make well informed choices about the treatment options available.
