About me

Mr Roe has been employed as a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon by Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since January 2016.
He provides a full lower gastro-intestinal surgical service covering colorectal cancer, benign colonic pathology and proctology, and has a special interest in pelvic floor conditions. Abdomino-pelvic surgery is carried out via a laparoscopic (keyhole) approach whenever possible.
He is accredited in lower GI endoscopy and also offers expertise in general surgery, covering hernias and "lumps and bumps"
Mr Roe was trained at Cambridge University, then undertook surgical training at Southampton General Hospital and hospitals in the South West. He spent 2 years conducting research into cancer development at the School of Cancer Sciences at the University of Birmingham.
He has professional affiliations with the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland and the Pelvic Floor Society.
