About me
I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist and the founder of Reflections Psychology Clinic. I am a Chartered Psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and have chartered membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS). I trained and worked in the NHS in London for 14 years. I also worked privately for a Harley Street clinic during this time. Since relocating to the Midlands, I have worked in both the NHS and private practice.
I have many years of experience working with clients who have a range of psychological difficulties, from mild and moderate to more severe, longer-standing issues. Having trained in a variety of psychological approaches (e.g. CBT, systemic approaches, EMDR) I am able to tailor therapy to suit an individual’s needs. I am experienced in supporting larger organisations and individuals working in the corporate sector around work-related issues.
Following a doctorate in clinical psychology, I undertook the Clinical Neuropsychology Postgraduate Diploma in Glasgow. This has enabled me to integrate specialist neuropsychological assessment into my work. I can provide support to individuals and carers around neuropsychological conditions and their neuro-rehabilitation needs.
I have extensive experience of working in sexual health/psychosexual clinics in London. I am able to work holistically providing psychological support along with behavioural programmes to help individuals overcome psychosexual concerns (e.g. erection difficulties and vaginismus). I work with both individuals and couples.
As part of my NHS role in London, I was the lead for the neuropsychological service of a larger health department. I was involved in teaching, training and supervision of my colleagues. I continue to provide supervision and consultation.
I am a warm, empathic practitioner. Having worked in a diverse range of settings with people from all walks of life, I am sensitive to the context of people’s difficulties and considers issues related to age, gender, sexuality and culture. I work holistically to consider all aspects of a person’s wellbeing.
