About me

I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist who works with adults and older people with psychological and/or physical health problems. I am experienced in working with issues such as anxiety, stress, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, bereavement, eating problems, relationship difficulties, and adjustment to physical health conditions.

I work with people to tailor an individual therapeutic approach to suit them and their current concerns. I am trained in a number of psychological therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Energy Psychology approaches such as the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). I am happy to explain these therapies to you in our first meeting.

I am also skilled in neuropsychological assessment and psychological support for people with neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy and dementia.

I run clinics on Mondays and Thursdays in Skelton, York.

My qualifications and experience:
• 15 years in the NHS working as a clinical psychologist.
• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University College London (2005).
• DPhil in Psychology from the University of Sussex (2003).
• BSc in Psychology from the University of Sussex (1999).
