About me
I have been a consultant for 12 years, doing foot and ankle, knee surgery and trauma and currently working in Scunthorpe General Hospital for the past 9 years. I did my Specialist Registrar training in Trauma & Orthopaedics in the Mersey Deanery from 2004 to 2010. I have also done fellowship in foot and ankle and knee surgery.
I also have practicing privileges in St Hughs Hospital, Grimsby since 2015 and in Euxton Hall and Buckshaw hospital since February 2024, where I provide elective foot and ankle and knee services for choose and book, self pay and insurance patients.
I perform a wide range of hind foot, mid foot and forefoot procedures in the management of foot and ankle problems including arthritis, cavus and flat feet corrections. I also do knee replacement and knee arthroscopy.
I work as a part of the multidisciplinary team in the management of diabetic foot and hip fractures. I am the lead consultant in the management of diabetic feet in my trust.
I do a trauma list every week and manage hip fractures, upper limb, lower limb fractures and complex foot and ankle trauma. I have a keen interest in teaching, training and research.
I have completed numerous audits, research and quality improvement projects where in I have reviewed the outcome of my pratice and have presented them in various conferences and have published in peer review journals.
