These include private practice, primary care, inpatient, community outpatient, intensive day programs, emergency psychiatric services and university counselling centres. In her current private practice, she provides psychotherapy as well as conducts assessments for medico-legal reports.

Dr. Ip also works in the NHS as a consultant clinical health psychologist/clinical lead at Ealing Community Partners/West London NHST Trust, leading a team of clinical/counselling psychologists and physiotherapist to offer integrated support for people with long-term health conditions. In addition, she led a triple award winning integrated service (3 Dimensions for long-term conditions) for those with heart failure and COPD across Guy’s and St. Thomas’s Hospital and King’s College Hospital. She is also currently the Mind and Body Lead for the Value-Based Healthcare programme at King’s Health Partners where she helps leaders in our healthcare system from all levels work together to achieve high value care for all. Her work involves partnering with the European University Hospital Alliance to shape a high impact leadership and innovation programme.

Dr. Ip provided resilience workshops to senior leaders in government through the Major Projects Leadership Academy at Oxford’s Said Business School, and to the UK Army generals. She was also an adjunct professor in Clinical Psychology at Palo Alto University and directed an integrated care clinic in California, bridging mental and physical healthcare.

Dr. Ip integrates various evidence based treatments such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy and Narrative approaches. She pays close attention to mind-body connections as well as how culture and spirituality affect clients’ worldview, sense making and interpersonal dynamics.
