About me

Mr Liam McManus

BSc, (HONS), MRCPod. HCPC Registered podiatrist.

Liam graduated from the University of Huddersfield in 2010 and has worked in various roles within both the NHS and independent sectors. Early in his career, he gained extensive experience including as a Band 8 extended scope musculoskeletal podiatrist.

He manages a wide range of complex musculoskeletal foot and ankle and sports related conditions, collaborating with GPwSIs, ESP Physiotherapists, MSK Physiotherapists, Orthopaedics, and Podiatric Surgeons.

At South West Podiatry he uses the latest technology such as 3D Gait Analysis, Barefoot Pressure testing, Diagnostic imaging, lower limb strength and flexibility benchmarking, SWIFT technology for verruca and offers non-MSK treatments such as nail surgery for ingrown toenails. Injection therapy is offered by Liam on a self-pay basis only as this is not covered by BUPA UK.

Liam is passionate about delivering musculoskeletal-focused digital and face-to-face educational talks and workshops to Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, student Doctors, and a wide range of allied health professionals.

Liam is also a Director and member of Council to the Royal College of Podiatry.

Interests Outside of Podiatry:

Outside of podiatry, Liam enjoys walking his dog, traveling, cooking, and staying mentally and physically fit through regular functional strength training. He also played semi-professional football and occasionally finds time to get back on the field.
