He has taught on the British Elbow and Shoulder Society Instructional course and helped organise the conference in 2022 in Liverpool.
He has ongoing research interests and has presented his work both nationally and internationally.
Mr Parmar maintains a medicolegal practice writing a number of reports annually and being a subeditor for the OPiL Bond Solon Training course.
Mr Parmar volunteered for a year as a consultant in Malawi and has been invited to present his experiences both nationally and internationally. Subsequently he has maintained an active interest in supporting orthopaedics in developing countries. He has written chapters for textbooks specifically aimed at treating orthopaedic injuries in the austere environment.
