About me
Sam works as a consultant at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where he leads the hand and wrist clinic as well as running a busy trauma clinic looking after acute bone, joint and muscle injuries. He also has a specific interest in lower limb sports and exercise related pain and exertional compartment syndrome.
His private work reflects this keen interest in maximising people’s function and getting them back to the activities they wish to enjoy.
Sam organises several local, national and international conferences and is the Training Programme Director for Trauma and Orthopaedics for South East Scotland. His research interests include general trauma, wrist injuries, hand trauma and pain, compartment syndrome and finger injuries.
