Awards received

I have received the highest (Platinum) clinical excellence award from the NHS. I have been elected as a Fellow of the UK Academy of Medical Sciences, the American College of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology. I have received the highest awards from both the British Cardiovascular Society (Mackenizie Medal) and the European Society of Cardiology (Gold Medal). In the 2015 New Year Honours List, I was knighted for services to Medicine and Medical Research.
