About me
I am a consultant gynaecologist with my NHS practice based at Mid Cheshire (Leighton) Hospital and at the Hewitt Fertility Centre (KNUTSFORD) Liverpool Women’s Hospital FT. Within the field of Gynaecology, I specialise in Subfertility and Laparoscopic Surgery.
I joined Mid Cheshire Hospitals as a consultant in 2012. My training in the UK was in the Mersey (Liverpool) rotation. I also attended the Kiel School of Gynaecological Endoscopy in Germany. I am a British Fertility Society accredited specialist in pelvic ultrasound and also a BFS accredited trainer in pelvic ultrasound. I have extensive experience in transport IVF and laparoscopic procedures (key-hole surgeries) as well as day case procedures including surgeries for ectopic pregnancy, endometriosis, adhesiolysis, ovarian cyst removal, tubal surgery and laparoscopic hysterectomy.
In my clinics in addition to patients with general gynaecological problems I consult patients with heavy periods, pelvic masses and fibroids, subfertility, pelvic pain, endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, recurrent miscarriages and menopausal symptoms.
I passed the examinations conducted by the London School of Economics and Political Sciences and was awarded the Diploma in Management in 2012. I am heavily involved in training candidates for the MRCOG examinations and was an RCOG moderator for the Enhanced Revision Programme. I am also the departmental lead for undergraduate medical education with the Manchester Medical School.
I have presented research papers in various conferences including the European Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy Conference. I am a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and specialist societies including the British Fertility Society and British Menopause Society.
I live in Knutsford with my wife (also an obstetrician gynaecologist) and two sons who are both avid cricketers.
