He specialises in the comprehensive management of varicose veins, ranging from large varicosities to minuscule thread veins, intricate lymphoedema cases, complex wound care employing innovative techniques such as fish skin grafts, and the treatment of diabetic foot diseases.
Mr. Jibawi is renowned for his groundbreaking work in the field of vascular surgery, having developed and introduced innovative pathways, guideline charts, and classification systems for varicose veins, taking into account their intricacy and aesthetic considerations. With a background in mechanical engineering, physics, and mathematics, he excels in crafting surgical approaches that are tailor-made for complex anatomical situations, ensuring exellent immediate and long-term outcomes.
Furthermore, Mr. Jibawi's recent focus lies in the utilisation of low-level laser therapy (LLLT - also known as photobiomodulation PBM) for managing challenging wounds, primary and cancer-related lymphoedema. He is a distinguished academic in the vascular field, having earned a Doctorate Degree (D.M) through collaborative research between the University of Sussex and Oxford University. His expertise is further underscored by his authorship of the acclaimed book 'Current Surgical Guidelines,' published by Oxford University Press (OUP) in 2010, which has since seen a successful second edition and was featured in the British Journal of Surgery.

Since 2013, Mr. Jibawi has been a dedicated Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. In 2021, he joined the esteemed team at St George's University Hospital, fortifying the vital link between the two institutions in the realm of vascular practice. Additionally, Mr. Jibaw enjoyably imparts his knowledge and expertise by serving as an instructor and examiner for FRCS candidates both in the UK and abroad.
