About me

My areas of interest include Endometriosis, Pelvic Pain, Menstrual disorders, fibroid, subfertility and minimal access surgery (Laparoscopic and hysteroscopic).
I trained in Manchester. In 2012 I completed Masters in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy (University of Surrey). I led the development of Pennine Endometriosis Centre and lead this service at Pennine Acute Trust. I also perform Day Case Laparoscopic hysterectomy.
I have keen interest in teaching and training and I am RCOG recognised preceptor for the Advanced Training Skill module in Benign Abdominal Surgery. I work closely with Cochrane Gynaecology &Subfertility Disorder Group. I am the lead author of the Cochrane review on Laparoscopic Entry Techniques. I have more than 30 publications in peer reviewed journals and have written chapters in books related to Gynaecology. I am associate editor for Cochrane Clinical Answers.
I have been appointed honorary senior lecturer at Manchester university.

My areas of interest include Endometriosis; Pelvic Pain; Pain during sex; Menstrual disorders; heavy periods, painful periods; intermenstrual beading, fibroid; subfertility and removal of polyps; coils; ablation;, prolapse, pelvic floor repair, laparoscopic hysterectomy; abdominal hysterectomy; ovarian cyst; reversal of sterilization.
