About me

I have a passion for understanding the unique influences that effect our emotional experiences, our ways of seeing and being in the world, as well as the nature of psychological growth and well-being.

To survive circumstances and situations that we have had to endure, we develop and adapt ourselves creatively, out of necessity. However, as circumstances change, these creative adaptations may no longer serve us, they can even come to restrict and inhibit us.

In a world that adds pressure to attain the ideals of happiness and material success, difficult life events and our internal and emotional experiences such as anxiety, grief, anger and despair can be neglected. Denied emotions may manifest as psychological or physical symptoms that can become stuck and lead to further problems that can negatively impact our sense of self, wellbeing, relationships, family life, work and our potential to thrive.

I offer a nurturing space to help you make sense of and process difficult and uncomfortable experiences, challenging life events and develop insight into aspects of your life that are no longer working for you. I will support you to deepen your connection to yourself and help you consider how to move towards living a life that is meaningful to you.

I work with adults and I also have substantial experience of working with young people age 14-24 years old. I work in a collaborative style and
I draw upon relational and existential models of psychotherapy, as well as trauma-informed somatic practices and integrate third wave CBT and relational models of psychotherapy to work with what you bring into the therapy room.
