About me

I am a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist and did my specialist training in the Wessex region having worked as a consultant psychiatrist in the NHS for seven years based in Portsmouth at Solent NHS Trust working across community and acute services at varying points. For the last three years up until 2016 I was the Clinical Director for the Adult Mental Health and Substance Misuse services for the Trust.

I left the NHS in May 2016 and began working in full time private practice as a visiting Consultant at the Priory.

I now have a busy practice in Surrey and am a Visiting Consultant at Priory Woking and see patients in Guildford. I am the Addictions Lead Consultant at the Priory Hospital Woking.

I have over 20 years’ experience working with adults with a wide variety of mental illness including Mood disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Substance Use disorders, Women’s Mental Health problems.

I provide General psychiatric assessments and ADHD assessments and work both face to face at my clinic in Guildford and at The Priory Hospital Woking and provide Remote assessments and appointments



I was born and raised in Scotland where I studied medicine at Glasgow University, but have lived in the south of England for over 20 years
