About me

I graduated from Cairo University Medical School in the year 2000. Since the early years of my career as a doctor I developed an interest in Anaesthesia and Pain Management. I am a fully qualified Anaesthetist and Chronic Pain Specialist.

My years of training in various hospitals throughout the UK have given me invaluable knowledge and experience. I obtained the Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine from Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge in 2012. I am also a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists.

My understanding of chronic pain and how it affects all aspects of peoples lives has been cultivated over the years, and has led me to the appreciation and adoption of a multidisciplinary approach to pain management.

I currently hold a full time consultant post in Anaesthesia and Pain Management in the University Hospitals of Leicester. On a day to day basis I manage patients with chronic pain, with the intention of focussing on what matters most to each individual, as I understand that pain affects people in different ways.

I am experienced in managing pain in different parts of the body, and am part of the multidisciplinary specialised pelvic pain clinic held in Leicester Royal Infirmary.

As a consultant I have been performing a weekly injections list in Leicester General Hospital for the last four years. My expertise as an anaesthetist enables me to be able to safely provide sedation for more anxious patients.
