About me

About me

Hi, I'm Ryan. I am a qualified Senior Accredited and Registered Psychotherapist with over twelve years of extensive training and experience in providing general (long term/ open ended) counselling for individuals as well as short-term, more structured, solution focused interventions, (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) with individuals presenting various forms of emotional distress, struggling with e.g., depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, bereavement, health-related issues, ageing issues, substance misuse issues, Post traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), abuse, cultural and race issues, work-related issues, and relationship issues.

My expertise in providing counselling spans over ten years. I practised within several uniquely profiled counselling agencies in London, specializing in Trauma / PTSD counselling with asylum seeking clients who experienced war crimes and extreme levels of violence (Mapesbury Counselling Clinic / Minster centre), with substance misusing clients (Brent Addiction Counselling Services), with elderly and bereaved clients (Age UK), and with clients experiencing general issues e.g., anxiety and depression, self esteem, relationship and work issues as part of my private practice. As an associate to CBT agencies, I provide goal focused counselling, crisis management interventions, assessments and formulations / individualised treatment plans.

My private practice is based on integrative approach, what means that my work is informed by various therapeutic traditions e.g., psychodynamic, humanistic-existential and cognitive-behavioural, to produce a unique therapy format, adapted to optimally suit client's individual needs. The practice is open to all those individuals who seek confidential, reflective and nourishing space to explore their way of living and any distressing issue that they are struggling with in their lives.

As a Senior accredited / registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, I am committed to providing the highest standards of professional practice and confidentiality; I abide by the BACP Ethical Framework.
