Mr Anwar Haq is a Consultant Breast Surgeon with 35 years of distinguished experience in breast and general surgery. Mr. Haq's journey in medicine commenced at Nishar Medical University and Sheikh Zayed University, both esteemed institutions located in Pakistan. Here, he not only acquired the fundamental knowledge essential to his discipline but also developed a robust clinical and surgical foundation. Early in his education, Mr. Haq demonstrated a passion for both patient welfare and technical precision, attributes that would define his subsequent career. Eager to broaden his horizons and refine his skills, Mr. Haq relocated to the United Kingdom in 1995�a pivotal transition that would shape the remainder of his professional life. There, he pursued specialist surgical instruction across the regions of Scotland, Lancashire and Yorkshire.
Currently, Mr. Haq is affiliated with the University Hospital of Birmingham Foundation NHS Trust, where his practice is dedicated exclusively to breast surgery, focusing on both the diagnosis and management of breast cancer. Throughout his career, he has held several leadership positions, including Clinical Service Lead, multidisciplinary team chair, and presently serves as Director of Breast Screening for his trust.
