- Short Term Psychodynamic Therapy
Before qualifying as a psychoanalyst I worked in psychiatric day hospitals, long stay care and in a community mental health team as a senior occupational therapist. I currently work in private practice. I regret there isn't wider availability through the NHS for people to take 'time out' in order to better understand why they are struggling with confusion, unhappiness, or a specific problem/crisis and how they can challenge and change it.

I have always combined working in mental health with writing about it. I explore and explain my understanding of therapy in my book: 'what will you do with my story?'
I have published in journals, magazines and as a columnist on many aspects of mental health and therapy.
Many years of freelance writing: features, articles and as a columnist. 'Agony Aunt' page for both Marie Claire and Sainsburys.
