About me
I am a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and Registered Mental Health Nurse with over 26 years experience of working within the NHS specifically in the field of psychiatry. I have also been working in private practice since 2016. I have worked in acute settings and for a number of years worked as community psychiatric nurse where I was involved in helping people with various mental health problems from severe and enduring psychological difficulties to those who presented with more transient problems. I undertook further training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and qualified in 2001. I am now an accredited member of the BABCP (British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists). I have experience of working and helping people with very complex problems and have specialised skills in working with Eating Disorders. In more recent years I have been interested in and developing skills in Compassion Focused Therapy. I offer individual face to face sessions and remote video therapy sessions. I have an office attached to my home where I provide a professional and confidential service. Should you wish to consider my service then please call or email me to discuss options with no charge or obligation.
