About me

I have more than 20 years' experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I have been Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Mid Yorks NHS Trust since 2009. Additionally, I have practising privileges at Spire Methley Park Hospital, Spire Elland Hospital and Spire Dewsbury Clinic.
I have wide experience in benign gynaecology. I have a special interest in laparoscopic surgery, management of heavy periods including conservative surgeries for menorrhagia. My other interests are managing early pregnancy problems, premenstrual syndrome and menopausal problems.

Menopause service: I am a registered British Menopause Society menopause specialist. I offer tailored management plans for peri-menopausal and post-menopausal symptoms in an initial 45 minute appointment, including a holistic approach to manage menopausal symptoms, hormone replacement options, including testosterone therapy, and alternatives to HRT where necessary.

I am passionate about educating, supporting and empowering women through all stages of menopause. I want all women to achieve a successful and healthy menopause, by helping them to control their symptoms and safely improve the quality of their life and overall health.

I am also a menopause trainer for doctors and other healthcare professionals. I have given numerous talks to GPs and done menopause patient events to increase the awareness about menopause and possible solutions.

After many years of experience in gynaecology, I aim to provide care that is evidence-based and tailored to each individual woman.

Management of heavy periods including medical and surgical management.
Perimenopause and menopause problems
Hysteroscopy procedure, Endometrial ablation surgery, NovaSure for heavy periods.
Investigation and management of pelvic pain. Laparoscopy investigation and treatment
Laparoscopic Ovarian cyst removal & removal of Ovaries and fallopian tubes.
Abnormal cervical smears plus high risk HPV, Colposcopy, Management of precancerous condition of Vulva, Vagina & Cervix
Management of vulval disorders. Chronic vulval pain,Lichen sclerosis
Management of Premenstrual syndrome, Polycystic ovarian syndrome
Early pregnancy problems including recurrent miscarriage.
