About me
I am a UK-trained Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions in children and young people.
I am a recognised medical specialist on the General Medical Council (GMC number: 612800) Specialist Register in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry since 2014. My clinical practice is subject to annual appraisal through my NHS Foundation Trust, and I undergo formal medical revalidation every five years to ensure the highest standards of safe, effective care.
I am a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (registration number: 822250) in Good Standing, and a member of the Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (ACAMH).
My clinical expertise includes comprehensive assessment and evidence-based treatment of ADHD, in line with NICE guidance. I am highly experienced in autism diagnostic assessments, including gold-standard tools, and specialise in supporting autistic young people with co-occurring mental health difficulties. I also assess and treat a wide range of conditions including anxiety, depression, obsessivecompulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), self-harm, and tic disorders (including Tourette's), as well as providing specialist opinions in complex presentations.
My academic and research interests focus on autism, ADHD, and co-occurring mental health needs. I have contributed as a Principal Investigator in national research trials and have presented at international conferences on topics including self-harm and neurodevelopmental conditions. I regularly deliver teaching and training to multidisciplinary professionals, including GPs, paediatricians, schools, and CAMHS teams.
**Qualifications and Professional Credentials**
I hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and am an Approved Clinician and Section 12(2) approved doctor under the Mental Health Act 1983. I am a trained clinical and educational supervisor for doctors in postgraduate psychiatric training programmes within Thames Valley.
I am trained in the administration of specialist autism diagnostic tools, including the Developmental, Dimensional and Diagnostic Interview (3Di) and the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS). I also hold a Diploma in Family Therapy from the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London, and a British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1 qualification.
I completed my medical degree at St Bartholomew's and The Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of London.
