About me

I began my career as a Community Psychiatric Nurse in 1998 after qualifying as Registered Mental Health Nurse.I began developing my CBT practice in 2000 whilst continuing to work full time for the NHS when I started a CBT focused Health Sciences Degree graduating in 2004. At this time I moved into NHS Liaison Psychiatry initially working as a full time Therapist for people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Then developing and delivering a new psychological service for Kidney patients and later in 2009 as Lead Therapist for all services within Liaison Psychiatry as a band 8a. During this time I also completed my Cognitive Therapy Post Graduate Diploma qualifying and starting my current private CBT practice in 2008. In 2010 I began receiving regular specialist training, supervision and referrals as a Specialist Trauma CBT Therapist and continue to do so. This includes traumatic grief. I receive monthly supervision form the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre.
