About me

Dr Simon Peake is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and a Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London.

Dr Peake has a strong interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's disease), which was the subject of his post graduate research at Imperial College. He leads the Inflammatory Bowel Disease service for the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, and has published extensively in peer reviewed journals on these subjects.

He also has expertise and experience in the management of a wide range of gastrointestinal disroders, including change on bowel habit (diarrhoea / constipation), abdominal pain, abdominal bloating, rectal bleeding, heart burn and reflux, food intolerance and food allergy, coeliac disease, cancer and irritable bowel syndrome.

He is a very experienced endoscopist, including diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy as well as BRAVO capsule. His key performance indicators for endoscopy are excellent. He is also the endoscopy training lead at St Mary's Hospital, London.

He is a member of the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG), European Crohn's and Colitis Organisation (ECCO), American Gastroenterology Association (AGA) and Royal College of Physicians (RCP).
